I am always full of ideas when I come back from Market. Trouble is, I don't seem to follow through. We always antique on the way down and back, that's when we have the most fun. My stuff is still in my boss' trunk, so I don't have any pictures yet.
The greyhound adoption group that I work with has an annual picnic that is our biggest fundraiser. So this year, I have decided that I am going to be a vendor. It seems like there is never enough cool stuff to buy! Here are a few of my ideas. Signs, I have seen some cool saying on signs lately, surely I can do that. I also have a pretty good collection of old black and white greyhound photos that I can be creative with, pillows, photo collages, etc. I also purchased some hand printed greyhound fabric a couple of years ago, that sounds good for tote bags, maybe a purse and surely a big quilt for the auction. Well, for today I am going into the sewing room and do a major overhaul. I made a total mess in there over Christmas.
Some more good news, my buddy Dave pictured below is getting his forever home! He has been with us since May 20, 2009. Way to go Dave! Oh yeah, not so good news on the weight loss this week. Market killed me and I gained 4 pounds. YUCK, but I already got 2 of that off, so I am ready to get back to normal again.
your ideas sound wonderful for the market/fundraiser you are doing..maybe some cute magnets for the fridge..glad to hear Dave has found a home and that you are back on track with your weight loss..:)

ReplyDeleteJust now reading some of your previous posts. Glad it's warming up in the Frozen North! We're thinking of fostering Shelties. We've always had shelties but the thought of getting attached and then letting it go - sort of scary. Anyway the greyhound rescues are wonderful and so needed - poor things. Glad yours found a forever home! :)Nancy
