Well I hope you all made some realistic resolutions. I have lots of things I would like to accomplish this year. As far as resolutions, the only one I made was that I was going to be re-evaluating some things in my life. My whole life, it has been about everyone else. When I was younger, I always wanted to please my parents. When I became a parent, it became all about my kids. So now my dear friends it is all about ME, well within reason.
Dieting is making me feel better, not only physically, but mentally. I am down 23 pounds since October 21st. I also met my biggest goal of being under 200 pounds by the end of 2009. I can't believe I just put that out there.
Also, like a lot of my friends, I take my job way too seriously. Does it pay off? Not really. So I am going to try to "leave it all at the door" when I leave at night. Thinking about taking some classes too. Man that makes me nervous. I have been out of school for 32 years. YIKES!!! Anyway, I hope all my friends have a great New Year!

Sounds like you are starting out your new year excellently. Great goin' on your weight loss too. I'm in there with ya:) Feel good about yourself! Hugs~Carol
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, Ms. Hare! I think it behooves all of us to be kind to ourselves. I've seen that on several lists this year, and I think it's a good idea. And going back to school sounds wonderful. Think of all you'll learn and experience. Plus, you will have studying and dedication down pat without all the youthful distractions we all had the first go around. ;-)

Congrats on making it to the 100's. I was just on vacation for the past two weeks, and didn't check work email once. 'Leave it all at the door' is a good policy.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you as well - and congrats on a stunning weight loss for such a short period of time! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great new year!! May you have dreams come true!!
