Second Time Around Tuesday

This trunk was my oldest daughter's toy box when she was a baby. It was one of those that was later deemed "unsafe" because children were suffocating after the lid would fall on them. I never quite figured out how this could happen if you were supervising your child, so we continued to use it. She is has just moved into a new place and the cats always laid on top of the trunk in front of the window.
I purchased this cute fabric last year with the intentions of making a pillow for the top of the trunk. It looks like a newspaper, but when you look at it closely, it is all about cats! The fabric is so cute and I hope the kitties love laying on it!

  6. That is most unusual fabric. Lucky you to find it. Your idea for the pillow top is a good one.

  7. Wow! Love the "Kitty Chronicle" Fabric! What a Kewl way to refurbish a Great Family Heirloom. BTW...it's a wonder our kids survived to maturity, with all the now "unsafe" things that were everyday life to us..."Back in the Day!" LOL! Hugs, Starla
